Today I am celebrating the super cool dads I have in my life. What massive blessings they are! I want to share with you a few reasons why I love each of them.
My husband, Corey, is the dad of our sweet babies in heaven. He’s also the best fur daddy to our pups, Sage and River. I believe over the years he will used by God as a spiritual father to many younger people in his life! I’m so proud of the ways Corey has stepped in and used his gifts to lead the men’s ministry at our church this past year! If we had kids here on earth, he would no doubt be ‘the fun dad!’ All of our nieces, nephews and friend’s kids love him!
Daddy Braddy is my biological father, if you can’t tell by the Hershberger nose we share 🙂 I love having deep, spiritual talks with him and enjoying the outdoors together any chance we get! Some of my favorite memories are of us sitting next to each other at a piano and him playing while we sang duets. He’s really gotten into functional medicine with me over the past few years and it has been fun being on this journey of health and wellness together!
Dennis is my stepdad. He came into my life at a time when I wasn’t easy to love, and he loved me anyway! Dennis taught me how to country swing dance to Garth Brooks in the basement when I was a teenager. You better believe I steal him from Mom at least once at every wedding we are at together! This picture was taken of us a few years ago in Washington D.C. during a trip that I’ll never forget.
Rick is my father-in-law and one of the best guys around! My husband not only looks like him, but acts a lot like him, too (which is usually a good thing!) We call Rick often for advice on so many different things. We’re thankful that he and Corey’s mom live close so we can see them regularly and hang out! He and I make sure never let each other eat dessert alone 🙂
As you can see, these special guys in my life are dads in a lot of different ways. I need and appreciate them all so much! Corey, Brad, Dennis, Rick and all the guys out there who walk in such important fatherly roles… Here’s to you!
