Here’s the deal… I love giving gifts, it is my love language! Therefore, I have been very excitedly compiling a list of gift ideas to share with you, my blog readers! I hope this list will give you some inspiration you as you think about what you want to get your loved ones this holiday season!
- A lack of sunlight in your life can have negative effects on your health, such as Seasonal Affective Disorder and problems with sleep. Using a light box like this in the morning can stimulate serotonin production to help with mood and also melatonin in the evening to improve sleep! I like to turn mine on in the mornings when I read my Bible and devotional.
2. Health and fitness watch
- This Garmin watch is the one on my wish-list this year! I have also heard good things about Whoop bands!
3. DNA test from The DNA Company
- I did this recently and it was SO insightful! The report you get back is laid out well and easy to understand. You get a lot of personalized recommendations in the areas of mood & behavior, diet & nutrition, sleep, hormones & fitness, cardiovascular, inflammation and longevity!
4. Wave block EMF blocking stickers for air pods, phones and tablets.
- Corey and I have these on our phones and air pods and have given some as gifts also! Phone case covers it on your phone and you can’t even really see them on air pods. This is such an easy way to help protect yourself and your family from radiation emitted from electronic devices!
- It is a good idea to wear these when looking at your cell phone, watching t.v. or being on the computer. They help to protect your eyes and increases melatonin production for better sleep! Clear is better for during the day and yellow or red at night, from what I understand.
- These products can replace many of the chemical cleaning products in your home, using water alone. Give the gift of a safer haven! Read more about why it is important in this blog post.
- These are my personal favorite bath bombs because they are pretty, dissolve slowly and are made with clean ingredients and no artificial junk! You can read about the health benefits here.
8. Young Living Holiday Home Collection
- Another set to help replace chemicals in the home! Essential oil diffuser > candles! And thieves cleaner is unbelievably versatile and long lasting!
- This can be a great form of active relaxation! I detail more about it in this blog post.
- Using a glass water bottle is better for you and the environment. And this one is my favorite! I also have and use this matching mug for my coffee almost daily!
11. Cordless mixer and/or immersion blender
- I got this white cordless mixer recently and really like it, so now immersion blender is on my wishlist! It is so nice not having to deal with cords!
12. Sous Vide precision cooker
- Sticking with the kitchen appliance theme, I have really enjoyed my sous vide the past couple of years! I use it to make the most tender and juicy meats and recently started using it to ferment my homemade yogurt!
13. Adventure challege for couples, families or singles
- Inspiration for fun, unique things to do! There is also a place in the book for you to place a photo from the adventure!
- Corey and I got these for ourselves and some family members for Christmas last year. We all have pictures on our phones that we struggle with what to do with and stress about losing. This little flash drive is a great way to back them up! The other end fits into a computer.
15. Stasher bags
- I try to use these in place of disposable plastic bags as much as I can! They come in a lot of sizes and fun colors and are freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe!
16. Food huggers
- Another way to reduce plastic exposure and waste! I use mine all the time with lemons, limes and onions! I also have these cheese and butter huggers!
- This all natural air freshener is one of my favorite finds of the year! Corey and I have both been enjoying having them in our vehicles. We both have the wood ones, but there are also stone and metal options. So unique and no harsh chemicals!
18. “Super Gut” book
- I haven’t fully read this book yet, but it is definitely on my winter list! I’ve enjoyed skimming it and using some of the homemade yogurt recipes. Gut health is SO important. I recommend watching the “Speaking with the Specialist” episode I recorded with Functional Medicine P.A. Taylor Morgan Christie about it last month! Click here.
- This heavy duty cast iron from France is so great for cooking all of those winter soups and casseroles. I like that it can go from the stove into the oven if needed. I also use it to bake sourdough bread. And it looks so pretty sitting on the stove when not in use!
- We got one of these this fall and it has been a treat! It uses rubbing alcohol instead of wood. We are impressed with how long it burns. And if it goes out before you want it to, it is easy to just add more alcohol and light it back up! Can be used indoor as well.
I could go on and on, but we’ll stop there with my top 20! I pray everyone has a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving!
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
